Canon VIXIA HF R21 User Review

I received this product in record time and have just started to become use to its many features. It is very easy to use and the easy camcord button is very nice for those quick images you have to get now. It is ashame the camera only has a 3 megapixal lens, but still I see nothing wrong with film or stills I have already taken. Just got my Canon Vixia HFR21 I bought from online and it seems wonderful so far. First of all I like the compact size of this camcorder which is probably the smallest full feature HD camcorder out there in the market. It comes with a cool 32Gig Flash memory and 2 SD card slots so there is flexibility to increase the memory size as you like. I really haven’t played around with all the features yet, however from whatever videos I have made it is amazing. My Vixia is working like a champ.
I searched a lot on other models and I couldn’t find much difference. I know this does not have the viewfinder but I dont think anybody want to pay $300-$400 for viewfinder. Overall worth the money I would say. Just got this camcorder and was also hesitant due to the reported problems with importing and using AVCHD format and 24p Cinema Mode, which the Apple website is incompatible with iMovie 9. It works perfectly for me and the results are stunning. Some of the feature take a little experimentation but I quickly oriented myself and can now shoot consistently.

Battery life is short at about 70 minutes, internal battery, no external charger for extras
Worth the price. I ordered this camera for the purpose of skateboarding. I just opened it about an hour ago, and so far the video quality as far as my experiance goes is outstanding. it has so many features, i cant possibly tell you them all. the only downside to this camera in my opinion is the size. not that its too big, but too small. I put a fisheye lens on it and that makes it look better. This camera just doesent look very professional. However, the inside is what counts. I have mounted this camera on an opteka stabilizing handle, and it is wonderful. I highly suggest this camera for any purpose. sound quality is great. overall i love this camera. The menu system is very simple, and i dont know how anyone couldnt get it.
